The corps’ colors were green, black, and white.
Awards included 1963 New York State American Legion Championships, 1963-65 New York State VFW Championship, 1965-70 NY American Legion State championship, and the 1963-65 New York-Penn Association Championship. The corps also sponsored an annual contest in June.
A corps alumnus remembers that Saint Joseph’s lost the 1964 New York State Championship when the quartermaster forgot to pack the American Legion flag. The resultant two-point penalty lost them a repeat title. At the time, the corps was one of the earliest to integrate the guard with the horn line.
Saint Joseph’s last year of competition was 1971 when they were disqualified for marching an overage member. An alumni corps was marching in 1991.
