The corps was re- formed in the mid 50's by a group led by Jim Donovan (played in original corps in late 40's). The group went to St Vincent's Catholic grammar school in Madison NJ to recruit and came out with all these eager young catholic school kids. Most stayed the duration and the corps had a successful run in the old "Penn Jersey" circuit until they folded in 1963.

Madison high school had one of New Jersey's top ranked football teams back then and a lot of the corps members were stars on those teams. It started to become difficult to field a corps at the end of summer and early fall when most circuits and state championships were being held during that time.

After a great mid-summer of 1963, the corps had to pack it in just prior to states. A lot of the kids went on to St. Lucy's or Blessed Sacrament that fall.

The Luckie Ladies all-girl corps purchased the uniforms and remaining equipment from the church and the "Vinnies Madison" look remained in drum corps until around 1976 when the Lladies became known as the Emerald Grenadiers.
