Since their founding by Dr. R.L. Donelson in 1960, the Trailblazers Drum & Bugle Corps has steadily grown in quality, stature and prestige. They were proclaimed the official Drum & Bugle Corps for Overland Park, Kansas in 1968 and placed 8th in the Mid American Open in 1970. The Trailblazers have performed for the Kansas City Spurs Soccer, the N.A.I.A. Basketball Tournament, and the World Champion Kansas City Chiefs.
