The Impulse Drum and Bugle Corps is an Open Class competitive junior drum and bugle corps based in Buena Park, California.

Impulse formed in 1998 in Anaheim, California. The original intent was to field a corps that would offer an irreverent fun-filled performance reminiscent of Velvet Knights and Bridgemen. Thus the use the exclamation point as a logo and the yellow and black uniforms.

During its first season, Impulse stayed within California, but in its second season, the corps toured to the Pacific Northwest and as far east as Wyoming and Colorado.. In 2001, the corps traveled into Illinois, Michigan, across the Canada–US border to Ontario, and to its first DCI Division II World Championship prelims at Buffalo, New York, where it placed 9th of 12 corps. Over the next several seasons, Impulse was a regular visitor to the eastern half of the U.S. and to DCI, and Impilse was a Division II Finalist 2003-05. The corps relocated from Anaheim to Buena Park in 2004.

In 2006, the corps, fielding fewer than 60 members. moved to Division III and won the DCI Division III World Championship at Madison.

DCI held the 2007 championships in Impulse's home state, just down the road from Buena Park at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Sadly, not only did the corps fail to recover its former size, but its performance did not meet the previous years standard, and the defending Division III Champion fell to a 6th-place finish.

After finishing 18th of 23 corps in the newly formed Open Class at Bloomington, Indiana in 2008, Impulse remained in California and marched a short season of only two to three weeks from 2009 thru 2015.

Impulse returned to the DCI Championships in 2016 and '17, placing 14th and 15th in Open Class,
