The Sound of Long Island, also known as the Free Sound of Long Island, was a senior marching and maneuvering corps based in Hicksville, New York.

The corps may have originated as the junior New Image and senior New Image II, before changing its format and name in 1986 or 1987.

The corps participated in DCA competition from 1988 through 1991. Their highest finishes were 13th, in 1989 and 1990.

Sound of Long Island was part of a triple merger in 1991 among Nighthawk of Somerville, New Jersey, Free Delivery of Sayville, New York, and Sound. The combined group competed that year under the name Free Sound of Long Island (although they were known for a short time by the long name of "The Free Delivery Nightbeat Sound of Long Island Triad Drum & Bugle Corp Excaliber").
