The Saginaires Eagles Drum and Bugle Corps had it's infant beginning on a hot afternoon on August 4, 1979 in Marion, Ohio. Saginaires Corps Commander, Bob Waskoviak, and several other adults were talking about starting a feeder corps. Bob asked George Farner to take the job of building a feeder corps. George eagerly accepted the responsibility and immediately began putting together a working group. By the end of that tour,George had enlisted the support of Connie Ellsworth as Treasurer, Mike Vierow as Corps Director and had ideas of others to approach.

During the winter of 1979 and the spring of 1980,the staff grew and the membership drive was on. The Saginaires Eagles at first limited their activities to parades and stand-still concerts in Michigan, but in 1983 they performed their first 8 minute field show. The member must be at least 8 years old and under 14 years old. The uniform colors are green and white shirts, black pants and black and silver shakos topped with black plumes.
