The Blue Notes, formed in 1957, was a junior marching and maneuvering corps based in Ishpeming, Michigan. They were sponsored the Ishpeming American Legion Post 58, and competed in the Badgerland Drum and Bugle Corps Association. Early organizers were Joe Mayrand and Jim Medlyn.

All-male until 1960, the group welcomed girls from that point on.

The corps’ colors were red, white, and blue.

Awards included the championships of the Lake States Loggers Congress 1963 and '64, and the 1964 Michigan American Legion and VFW Championship. The corps remained in competition through 1976, often against the archrival Northernaires.

A senior/alumni corps was formed in 1984.
