CORPS Photos

The Golden Statesmen was a junior drum and bugle corps based in San Diego, California.

While travelling to a parade in Long Beach in 1970, the corps' bus broke down. Corps members hitched a ride on a motorcycle, one corpsman at a time, ten separate trips, to the parade's starting line. They almost made it, but the motorcycle wasn't fast enough to get all the corps members and their instruments to the parade on time, and they and the cyclist ended up watching this parade.
