A Senior Corps organized in 1956 and entered competition in 1957. Sponsored by V.F.W. Bruce Post 1146 of St. Clair Shores and co-sponsored by Hamtramck Falcon Post 455 American Legion. The Vanguards are 1964-65-66-67 V.F.W. State Champions and 1965-66-67 American Legion State Champions.
