This sturdy corps made the "Guinness Book of World Records" in the early 1970s when they marched and played, it is claimed, for 20 miles consecutively through the streets of their home town. No word why.**
The Crusaders finished ninth in DCI Open Class Finals in 1975. Their final DCI appearance was in 1980.

"The reason they marched and played (Drum Line only with some flags) 20 miles consecutively was a fund raiser. They participated in a March of Dimes 'Walk-A-Thon' and were sponsored by local Wendy’s franchises for the effort."
