"The Wanderers Drum & Bugle Corps was organized as a Marching & Maneuvering Corps in October, 1958, and represents New Rochelle Post No. 8 American Legion. Bad luck plagued the Corps in 1960. Loss of instructors, lack of practice facilities and loss of some key personnel prevented the Corps from competing, but the Wanderers made approximately 30 parade appearances and piled up an enviable collection of trophies along the way. Frank Mulligan took over as Director in mid-season and concentrated on a re-building program to put the Corps on the field in 1961. This year the Corps is instructed by Ray Nicholas on horns, Herb Wehr on drums, and Joe Mason drill. Ev Roberts Jr. as Drum Major. This year they have 27 horns in drill. Their parade Corps has 5 snares, 5 tenors, 3 bass, 3 cymbals, 38 horns, 16 man Color Guard and 2 Drum Majors.
