CORPS Photos

The Chieftains, founded in 1983, was a parade and standstill group until 1988, when they joined DCA. Their highest DCA finishes occurred in 1998 and 1999, when they finished 12th in Finals competition. The corps also acted as hosts for the DCA Senior World Championships 1997 through 1999.

The corps was based in Allentown and Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, but they draw membership from all over Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut.

In 2000, the Chieftains withdrew from DCA events, but they continue to appear in parades and concerts. A substantial part of their energies was devoted to forming and developing a new junior corps, the Lehigh Valley Knights.
