The Drum and Bugle Corps of the BRITISH COLUMBIA REGIMENT (Duke of Connaught's Own) has not previously (1964) competed with other corps.
The Regiment was founded in 1883 and converted to a rifle formation in 1899 from which time the present band has been in existence. Originally using only 'horns' as the early type bugles were known, drums were added during the First World War."
