Back in August 8, 1940, the “Ross Township Fireman’s Association Girls’ Drum and Bugle Corps” was organized. Our first uniforms were purchased in May 1941. In 1945, they entered our first competition and competed annually for about five years. The Cadettes have been self-supporting and purchased their present uniforms in 1948 and their instruments in 1950. Later the Corps, under the sponsorship of the Perrysville Firemen, went back on the field, although lacking in previous competition experience.
