The St. Johnsburg Blue Sabres of North Tonawanda, NY were reorganized in 1970 as a Jr. Drum and Bugle corp. They were supported by the St. Johnsburg Fire Dept and held practices at the fire hall located on Ward RD in North Tonawanda.

The Blue Sabres competed as a street parade corps and a standstill corps. Some of their wins included 1971 St Patrick's Day Parade, 1971 Maid of the Mist Parade, 1971 Niagara Falls Standstill, and 1971 and 1972 NY PENN Standstill Champions.

The Blue Sabres had 70 members and were instructed by Richard Lewis-Bugle instructor and Musical Arrangement, Russ Marten-Drum instructor, Gary Dube-Marching and Manuvering, Paul Lampkin-Drum Major, and Michele Riley- Colorguard Sgt.
