The corps was sponsored by the Halle American Legion Post 624 and the Willoughby Eagles 2300. The Parents Organization supported the non-profit group. During 1964 the Caballaros expanded into a drum and Bugle Corps but still retained the baton corps. Bugles were purchased to replace the trumpets and the conversion began.
