The Golden Raiders was a junior marching and maneuvering corps based in Acushnet, Massachusetts.
The corps put the decision on their name up to public vote by asking listeners to the local radio station to suggest names in 1961. It was one of the station's disc jockeys who came up with Golden Raiders.
