The Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets, formed in 1971, is a junior marching and maneuvering drum corps based in Santa Clara, California. The group serves as the feeder corps to the Santa Clara Vanguard. The Vanguard Cadets have been active and successful in Class II DCI competition since the 1990s. The Cadets is the first feeder corps ever to achieve DCI membership, in 1993. In 2000, the group won the division, while they finished fourth, with a score of 93.8, in 2002.
