Jack GradyAuburn Noteables/1958-1966/snare drummer/instructorIt's great to have a Noteables website. The winningest junior corps to ever come out of Worcester County deserves one. Let's get some photos up on this.
Tom WalshGatesmen 58-62; Princemen 62-64 ; SKEK Alumni corps 2002......Great to see another corps from the 50's and 60's establishing a website. I was a member of the 1961 Yankee Circuit Champion Gatesmen and remember the Auburn Noteables very well. We attended their Military ball in 61 and 62 and were made to feel like celebrities by the host corps. The Noteables were a class organization. The Best of Irish Luck, Tom Walsh ( snare drummer )
Larry CorbinNoteables / RocketsHoping to hear from everyone and their friends. See ya all soon maybe!
Marlene (Miller) Brown1947-1956 Audubon Bon Bon'sGood luck with the site! It is really fun to do and we need it "To keep the memory alive" I aged out of the Bon Bon's in 1956. Looking forward to checking back in often!

Jay GradyCo Founder of Corps with Walt HelieWonderful memories of a great group of kids who worked so hard to achieve there success.
Mike CahillPittsfield Monarchs 1961-1965 DrumlineI've been corresponding with Jack Grady about old times. The Monarchs and Noteables competed against each other in the mid 60's. Those were great times and sites like this keep it alive. Good luck. Mike
sambucaSt Raphaels Buccaneers 1958-1967, Baritone bugle, Hawthorne Caballeros & Caballeros Alumni Corps 1988-2003, baritone bugleHello Auburn Noteables: Nice site. Enjoy talking with the Alums at Plymouth and on the www. Lots of memories from the (very) old Yankee Circuit as well as World Opens and VFW Nationals. Best years of our lives, and the REAL "Golden Age" of junior DRUM CORPS!!! See everyone next year at the "Thanksgiving Weekend". SAM
Scott WilliamsonBoston Crusaders/Milford Shoreliners/New York Skyliners-Asst DM/Drummer of all 3 Sky 92-presentI have to say you guys were one of my favorites in the past. The determination and will to be a good Corps gets my utmost respect. PS add Avant Garde to the list of Corps I marched for. Take care
HBCarter Cadets, St. Rita's Brassmen, NY SklinersWow! This is great. I'm learning more and more of how wonderful our "Golden Age" truly was. I would love to get some recordings of the Noteables. Let's keep spreading the word that drum corps did not start with DCI. We did more with less back then. And people could recognize the music too.
Larry BellSt. Kevin's 1957-1960 soprano and French horn bugleAlthough I was out of drum corps during the Noteable's rise to prominence, I am sure you were one of those "Who was that corps?" we would say after seeing the corps for the first time. Hard-working kids led by instructors proficient in the rudimental skills required to compete at the top in our olde days. I always admired the Connecticut styled drumming that was a feature of your corps. Let's keep uncovering these memories.
JACQUELINE WHITEAUBURN NOTEABLES 1962 - 1965GREAT FUN AND MEMORIES BOTH GOOD AND BAD.
JACQUELINE WHITEAUBURN NOTEABLES 1962-1965 COLOR GUARDGREAT MEMORIES AND FUN.
Chris Anderson1961 - 1966The memories are great, experiences I will never forget. I wouldn't change my drum corp years for anything.
Chris AndersonAUBURN NOTEABLESSorry I forgot to put the Corp I was with. The Noteables were the BEST.
Candy ErskineNoteables 1961-1965 Color GuardI feel like I have won the lottery. Finding all of you is so much like finding my extended family! All of us have many, warm memories of our years together that will last a lifetime. Here we are 40+ years later, and we still get chills and goosebumps remembering the good ole days. We can all say that we were proud to be a "Noteable". Thanks for the memories!
Lenny EricksonNoteables 1961 -- 1966 Bass DrumLots of good times. Especially the florida trip! The corp. had to be one of the best programs that a teenage kid could ever get involved in. Which says alot for the founding fathers of the corp., supporting parents, instuctors and the many members and friends of the Chester P.Tuttle Post Legion. -- Many Thanks to All --
Harold DavisSt. Rocco's CadetsThe Noteables part of the great Yankee Circuit... Great Site it looks like you have some contacts with corpreps.. If that is so, Job well done... If it wasn't for them, and you There wouldn't have been a St. Rocco's Cadet Web Site! I wish you all success... In all your afforts..... And hello Jack, thanks for stopping by Rocco's site Harold Smiley Davis Host of St. Rocco's Cadets Web Site http://www.livebands.net/dkick/
Andy (LittleAndy) DiOrioSt. Rocco's Corps memberI remember the Noteables and the wonderful people of Auburn Mass. who opened the harts and homes to St.Rocco's of Brooklyn. The great food they cooked for us and the great time we spent in you town.
"Tasr
"Tarkey"the "Lits" 1958-1964, PNA 1965, ...Great site! Guess I "jumped ship" a year too early. Instead of being just a Lithuanian, I could have been a NOTABLE Lithuanian;). When I clicked on and saw "Stars and Stripes," "This Could Be The Start...," and, "Il Pagliacci," I thought, "Who is this Lithuanian War Vets wanna-be?" LOL Dick Yucatonis, Tommy Marlborough, A.J. LeBoeuf, Earl Sturtze: they all touched my life. Cheryl and Kenny would come from their practices to ours. One of my best friends was a soloist with Auburn, and, I'd give most anything to to hear Tommy play, again.
VenkatNAThe pictures are great!

Art KellermanPeabody Musketeers 1960-63 ,Majestic Knights 1965, Prince 1966, Crusaders Seniors 1991 to presentMy first years (and fondest)in drum corps were in the early 60's, competing against the Noteables, Lith. War Vets, Rochester Graniteers, St. Roccos, Assumption Cadets, Gatesmen, and Pittsfield Cavaliers. I still have some of the program books and Drum Corps News of that era, and wish drum corps could go back like it was 40 years ago. I guess Alumni Corps are about as close as I can get to that old feeling. I enjoy your web site.
Dawn MThe CT Alumni Senior Drum & Bugle Corp based in Oxford, CT is holding it's annual Membership Drive and we would like to extend an open invitation to anyone interested in renewing their love of drum corp. We are canvassing all of Connecticut to get old Drum Corp buddies back in touch with the Drum Corp life and anyone else who would like to be part of this combined Drum Corp. With the CT Alumni there are no dues, we supply equipment, uniform and instruction. Our attitude is casual and our goal is to have fun. To find out more about us and our Drum Corp family visit our site at www.ctalumni.org We look forward to hearing from you.
Wayne NicholsGraniteers-Rochester, NH-1962-1967The Graniteers really enjoyed going to Auburn. Got to know a few Notables, but time has erased the names. We are getting some members together up here and will be setting up a website and other things. Just starting, so nothing yet.
Thomas C.OtteyInvaders of Norristown Pa. 1954 to 1961 I was 8yrs old when I joined and loved it all. Played 2nd and 1st horn also brass qt. I went all over the country, it was great.
Merle D. EastmanSpartans/1962-1965; 1968/Baritone-Bass BaritoneGlad to see you have established a website. We used to compete against you back in the '60s. Managed to get a recording of you from '65 on the Preserve our corps memories website.
Diane (Marois) Thompson58-60s-Joanettes Leom - 60s-Paramount Worc 70-90 Director-Royal Cadets Gardner - 90 - 2006 (end) had enough - getting old - Valley Airs Northbridge - over 50 years of drum corps!I came upon you site by accident - but it's great! I wish more would do a site! I remember the Auburn Noteables - some of their members marched with Paramount - I remember the Larsons - Punky! My dad - Bob Marois was a drill instructor all over the state - Joanettes - Citations - Kingsmen - Leicester Girls - Starisers (my brothers were all in there) - Lithuanian drum corps from Greendale or the Greendale Royalairs ?? I still have most of the Royal Cadets equipment - we did a Senior thing for 2 years - but hard to keep members - but seems like Alumni is the way to go today! Still do a lot of drum corps traveling - Sr & Jr Allentown - DCI / Rochester - DCA - Bridgemen Alumni are making a comeback this year at Sr's on Labor Day weekend! Well enough for now - I would certainly like to hear from someone that I may know from old corps! Diane (Marois) (Caton) Thompson
Al "Tarkey" TarkiainenThis is such a terrific site! It's great to read the comments from memebers of St. Rocco's, the Gate of Heaven corps, Graniteers, Shoreliners, Whalers, etc., re: the Notables and what a class organization it was. Someone from the Gatesmen mentioned the Military Ball. Auburn got it right. If I remember, friday night was the "Horribles Parade (great PR for the competition)," saturday evening the ball (we got to meet and socialise with our competitors), and sunday was the contest. Bittersweet was reading the postings by Jay Grady and Tommy Walsh.
Al "Tarkey"Apologies to Diane Thompson and the rest of the Marois' for not mentioning their dad in an earlier post. Bob Marois (or, as Al LeBoeuf used to love to pronounce it: Mud Wah) was unforgetable. He was our first M&M instructor when I was in the horn line with the Lithuanian War Vets (often introduced as the Lutheran War Vets) when we went from "stand still" to a field routine.
Reg HenrySt Joseph Patron Cadets, St. Rita's Brassmen, New York Skyliners 1975It is Great to see another Drum and Bugle Corps website being created and it alumni members refusing to let its history go into the night. Keep alive your memories and your joy of drum and bugle corps competition as we have done on our site ( www.stritasbrassmen.org ) May your memories live forever !
Mike CartierGraniteers, Rochester, NH 1967/68 Drum sectionReally enjoyed the corps. It was a short time but a good time. Would love to go back for one day.
Charles BernierRochester Granite Chips-'66, Graniteers-'66-'67, and Rollinsford Mariners-'68. Always a snare drummer! The single most wonderful thing I did as a kid! I went on to play drums in many rock, blues, jazz and country bands and have since become a singer/songwriter (guitar) recording drums on my own tracks. It all started on the field!
Joey "ZILCH" Johns69-71Hey you guys, This was a really wild find on the internet. I fell in here on a random search. Miller,Jacobson,Millea, Prada,Letson's,who's out there...ZILCH

"Tarkey"All that have commented on this site have talked about what a wonderful experience being in drum corps was. It still can be! Contact me about being a member of THE Saint Kevin Emerald Knights, and don't tell me that you're "too old." We are not a young group! But, we have a good time!
Al "Tarkey"Lits ('58-'64) soprano & DM / PNA ('65) DM/ THE Saint Kevin Emerald Knights ('09 to present) 3d spranoWe'll be having an "open house" in January. I'd love to see a representation from Central Mass. We already have five or six members from our area (Lits, PNA, Paramount, Leicester, ValleyAires and Boston corps people that have moved here. We don't compete. We have a good time. As anyone will tell you, I'm no musician, yet, they let me stay on!!! Talent is not a criteria. PLEASE contact me regarding the "open house." We'll give you something to eat, play some "old style" drum and bugle music, introduce you to some new friends and some old (posters on this site are Tommy Walsh, Ray Leger and Larry Bell - original members and still marching). Contact me @ goldret47@aol.com or call (508/987-5546). I'd love to hear from any and all. No commitment. Check out St. Kevins Emeral Knights on YouTube.
Al "Tarkey"Lits, PNA, Navy, St. KevinAdmit that I'm a bit disappointed that there was no response to my invitation other than a bari(hadn't played in 40+ years, and loved it). And, a snare who thought, "What the f*ck!" It was nice to be a big fish in a little pond, wasn't it? Maybe, like myself, you were a big fish in a little pond. If, however, you wouldn't mind being a small part of the whole, contact me.

Dottie (Larson) SwensonSons & Daughter of the Legion/Auburn Noteables1959 ? /BuglesMy Dad was the Manager of the Noteables and I was in the Corps from the beginning. When it was known as the "Sons and Daughter of the Legion" I played a "g" bugle we had them before we got valve Bugles. The times we had were the best. I wish there was something out there like Drum Corps now for our children and grandkids. It was hard work but worth every minute. To be young again.
John RiceNoteables Horn lineMight not want to forget: Ragina Race's mother won the contest to name us the "Noteables". (had no idea what that meant at the time.) Also, you may be glad to know that I had the honor of participating at Jay Grady's funeral at St. John's cemetery . It was a priviledge and a great honor to play "Taps" for such a great Marine.....Semper fi !

Demian FordI've always dreamt of winning BIG in the lottery. I surfed the internet for help to win the lottery massively and I was directed to the DR Amber website. I had a chat with him about what I needed and he assured me that his spell will make me become a lottery winner. He got back to me after 3 days with the numbers that I needed to play the lottery and told me to believe in myself. I felt enveloped by the control of the spell. I took his words and played the Mega Millions Lottery. Two days later, I was sent an email that I've won the sum of 107 Million Dollars. I was shocked and couldn't believe what my eyes were seeing. Immediately I was given the cash prize, I stopped working. I want to say a very big thank you to DR Amber for helping people like us who really need help. Now I know that there's absolutely nothing too hard for DR Amber to do. To get in touch with him, email : amberlottotemple@yahoo.com or click his webpage URL___ amberlottotemple.com
Leah GericsIt’s a privilege to share this to the world. You deserve all the praise that comes to you. DR Amber has been a blessing to me since our encounter on the internet. He alone knows it all. I love him so much for his kindness, care, honesty and his help in the life of everyone that has come in contact with him. If not for DR Amber how would I have been able to survive this hardship. His spell made me a LOTTO MAX winner of 60 Million Dollars making my whole life beautiful and amazing. The numbers he gave me to play the lottery was a life changing number from grass to grace and I want to say I’m forever grateful to him. Thank you sir for being a blessing to the helpless. Anyone reading this that needs help can communicate with DR Amber online for indeed he has no match. Website: amberlottotemple.com OR Email: amberlottotemple@yahoo.com
Katie Bennett2011Thank you for letting me post my review on your blog. I am very happy to share my insight working with DR AMBER. I needed help to win the lottery so badly because my bills were so high and needed to be paid as soon as possible. While I was surfing the Internet for ways to win the lottery, I saw DR AMBER'S website: AMBERLOTTOTEMPLE.COM saying how he has helped a lot of people in different ways both financially/martially. I ordered a lottery spell from DR AMBER and he explained everything to me about the spell and I accepted. I followed his instructions and played the lottery with the numbers he gave me. After 5 days, his magical spell made me a winner of 87 MILLION DOLLARS. Now, I am financially buoyant that no bill scares me anymore. I want to thank DR AMBER for his endless help and he's from the United States. For urgent response, call or text +1 808-481-5132 or email: amberlottotemple@yahoo.com
Mike LucianoHi everyone... I am Mike Luciano and I’m so addicted to winning the lottery. I’ve just scooped my FOURTH jackpot of $1million – taking my total winnings to $4.6million through the help of one legit spell caster named Dr Amber. My first ever win was $100,000. Last year, I won $500,000 from the Pennsylvania state lottery and I also won $3 million in 2016 bringing the grand total of my winnings to $4.6 million. All my winnings have been made possible with the numbers given to me by Dr Amber. I've been so blessed, winning big three times in my lifetime. His spell casting is unique and safe unlike some fake spell casters that are just after your money without showing any result. Dr Amber is like a God in a human form, he is always there to help and guide me in all my trials in life and with him by my side, I've been living a fulfilled life. Just incase you see my review and needs his help, Email: amberlottotemple@yahoo.com or you call his cell number +18084815132 or reach you out to his website: amberlottotemple.com
